The movie opened on an Italian fishing boat, outside the harbor of twin cities of Imperia/Oneglia on the north-western Italian Ligurian coast. The Ligurian Riviera is one of the natural wonders of Italy, where the mountain chain formed by the Maritime Alps and the Apennines tumble down to the Mediterranean, with fishing ports and small picturesque and colorful postcard towns scattered along the coastline.

Bourne's lavish apartment is on Avenue Kléber near the Arc de Triomphe. Place des Etats- Unis was utilized for Wombosi's mansion. The sprawling, 36,600-square-foot townhouse, constructed in the Beaux-Arts style, with a close proximity to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées, is the home of many stately foreign embassies.
Bourne left his red bank bag in a locker at Gare du Nord. The Gare du Nord is a large railway station in Paris that serves destinations to the north of the city, including international cities such as London and Amsterdam. It is the busiest train station in Europe. The Gare du Nord is also well connected to the city's public transportation network with metro and RER stops on the lower levels of the train station.
Car chasing scene and the small hotel Bourne and Marie stayed were filmed at the less trendly Belleville. The director acknowledged that the less glossy side of the city appealed to him as a story- teller as being "more typical of the real Paris". Belleville has seen many waves of immigration over the past century. The neighbourhood is culturally diverse with Chinese, Vietnamese, North African Jews, North African Muslims, West Africans.
Marie managed to get Bourne's alter ego, John Michael Kane's phone records from Hôtel Regina. The Art Nouveau style hotel is a five-storey hotel, built in 1900, located on the Place des Pyramides directly across Rue de Rivoli from Tuileries Gardens and entrance to the Louvre Museum. In the square in front of the hotel is a gilded statue of Joan of Arc on horsebac
Situated in the heart of Paris in the fashion, shopping and museum district, the hotel is a 2-minute walk from Palais-Royal-Musée du Louvre Metro station, which provides direct access to the Opera Garnier and the Champs-Elysees. Place Vendôme and its luxury boutiques are situated less than half a mile away. The Musée d’Orsay is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
The lovely Place du Marché Sainte Catherine serves the site for the exterior of Treadstone's Paris safehouse. The safe house, in law enforcement and intelligency community, is a secure location, suitable for hiding witnesses, agents or other persons perceived as being in danger.
Jason set up a meeting with Treadstone Chief Conklin at Pont Neuf bridge. Pont Neuf means “new bridge”, which is really the oldest bridge still standing on the Seine river in Paris. Construction began on the bridge in 1578, more than four hundred years ago. The bridge crosses the river at the western tip of the Île de la Cité (this is the same island that hosts Notre-Dame Cathedral).
One notable Parisian architecture shown very briefly is the Grande Arche de la Défense. The project to build the 'Grande Arche' (Great Arch) was supported by the French president Mitterrand who wanted a 20th century version of the Arc de Triomphe. The design of Danish architect Otto von Spreckelsen looks more like a cube-shaped building than a triumphal arch. The 106 meters (348 ft) wide building has a central archway. The sides of the cube contain offices while the rooftop has a belvedere that until 2010 was open to visitors.
Bourne walks away and mysteriously disappears on the Pont des Arts. The Pont des Arts (Bridge of the Arts) footbridge links the Louvre and the Institut de France. The bridge with the cast iron arches and azobé timber decking affords a breathtaking panorama of Paris from the vantage point of the Seine.

The ending island scene took place at Mykonos, Greece. Mykonos is situated in the middle of the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most touristed islands in the Aegean. Mykonos, along with Santorini, is more expensive than other Greek islands.
