Bourne arrived at Berlin Ostbahnhof (Berlin East railway station). He took a cab into the city to Westin Grand where Pam stays with the medieval turret Oberbaum Bridge shown on the way. The bridge was built in 1895 on the site of a previous timber bridge to allow trains on the second level and traffic runs on the lower part.

The climax car chase was shot in Moscow and also in the suburb of Potsdam, and on Karl Marx Allee. The Karl-Marx-Allee is a 90m/300ft wide boulevard stretching for 2km. The monumental street, built during East Berlin's reconstruction period after World War II, is lined with apartment blocks built in a socialist realist style.
